This spring, more than 5,000 students from across the Fairfax County Public Schools used planning and advising tools in Family Connection, part of WorkspaceK12 from Naviance. According to the district, FCPS students use Family Connection to create "a personal plan, generate a record of activities and interests, and explore [postsecondary] educational opportunities ... while reducing the stress and complexity of the college application process." Moreover, because it's integrated with WorkspaceK12 and the tools Fairfax counselors already rely on each day to do their work, Family Connection "provides a secure and convenient stream of enhanced communication between counselor and student."
