At Naviance we believe the focus should be on the whole child, and our mission is to increase student achievement by promoting a structured approach to course, college, and career advising. In the most recent issue of ASCD Express, the on-line journal of the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development, Naviance CEO Stephen Smith argues that Individualized Learning Plans (ILPs) are an essential element of a progressive approach to accountability in education.
