Naviance offers a flexible array of professional development options for Naviance Succeed designed to meet your needs and budget.

Our comprehensive professional development offerings ensure that your end users can start putting Naviance Succeed to work right away. We offer a sequence of courses, following a proven curriculum, matched to the applications in the Naviance Succeed suite. Courses can be delivered by one of our highly skilled instructors at your site or via the Web. Our instructors know not only how Naviance Succeed works but also what it can do for your students, families, and staff, allowing them to provide context as well as content.

Courses

  • Introduction to Naviance Succeed is intended for all school staff who are new to Naviance Succeed and are involved in the academic and career advising activities of students. With this course, users will understand the powerful features of Naviance Succeed and how they can help to improve their school counseling program’s delivery of services for all students.  Manage student data and activities, communicate more effectively and provide valuable information and resources to empower your students and families.
  • Advising Students and Families on Postsecondary Planning with College Planner is designed for school staff who have completed Introduction to Naviance Succeed and work with students to develop post-secondary options.  Guidance support staff that manages the college application workflow should also attend. This course helps users understand how to organize and manage their department’s entire college application process while providing valuable resources to students and families.
  • Helping Students Explore Careers and Their Future with Career Planner is intended for school staff who have completed Introduction to Naviance Succeed and are involved in a career interest and exploration program. This course will help users learn how to implement Career Planner into a comprehensive career exploration program.  Link personality type and interests to career clusters and individual career interests with the goal of helping students understand how academic preparation ensures college and workplace readiness.
  • Managing the College Application Electronically with Naviance eDocs is intended for school staff who have completed Introduction to Naviance Succeed and College Planner and are involved in the processing and submission of college application information. This course will help users understand how to streamline the entire college application submission process and assure completion of vital tasks.  Save time and money by submitting college forms electronically by using eDocs and the Common Application forms.
  • Using Course Planner to Optimize Student Course Trajectories is intended for school staff who have completed Introduction to Naviance Succeed and are involved in the academic advising process. This course will help users learn how Course Planner can improve the academic advising process by creating electronic academic plans based on student, family and school staff collaboration.  Assure that every student is on the correct graduation path and have developed a meaningful post-secondary plan.
 

College Planner has significantly improved the way our College Center tracks student information, processes student applications and transcript requests, manages Mid-Year Reports, provides teacher and counselor recommendations, and communicates important information to students and families.
