The Naviance Summer Institute is a three-day forum for Naviance Network™ members (including counseling professionals, office staff, and other educators) featuring product training opportunities; a variety of sessions on topics in course, career, and college advising; and social and professional networking.

Sessions are organized into four tracks:

• College & Career Readiness: Promoting best practices in the advising process, increasing rigor in your school, creating a college-going culture, advising first-generation college applicants, increasing access and improving equity in your school
• Electronic Applications and Admissions: Creating a paperless office, understanding electronic transcripts, submitting electronic forms
• Transitions: Facilitating successful transitions from middle to high school and from high school to college; finding the best college matches; addressing academic issues; encouraging collaboration among staff; engaging community members, students, and parents; tackling ethical and social issues; controlling expectations
• Using Data for Decision-Making: Using Naviance data in school improvement plans and evidence-based counseling; leveraging student outcomes data; implementing Naviance effectively district-wide; encouraging partnerships between principals and counselors
