The Chief Academic Officer reinforces the company’s thought leadership position in student success through a range of activities including conducting extensive research into relevant market conditions, school and district initiatives, and education policy; analyzing internal and external data sources; producing professional-quality white papers, blog entries, and other Naviance publications; publishing actively in professional journals; participating in professional associations and events; and delivering paid research services to selected clients. Qualifications include:
Bachelors and Masters degrees required; Ph.D. or Ed.D. preferred
5+ years of education policy experience or related education
Experience in a fast-paced environment preferred
Ability to document identity and employment eligibility
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to change
Aptitude for applying research results for business benefit
Passion for K-12 and higher education
Outstanding listening skills, analytical skills, and absolute integrity
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proficiency in MS Office and Web applications
Ambition, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit
Strong organizational skills
