The Naviance District Sales Manager is responsible for development of school district and strategic opportunities in an assigned geographic territory in K-12 education – public and private. Territory development includes development of existing accounts, opening new business and teaming with Territory Sales Managers to expand success at the school level to district- and state-wide opportunities. The position is located in territory and requires a home or virtual office environment. This is a direct contributor sales role. The core mission of the District Sales Manager is to grow revenue from the assigned territory by more than 50%. Naviance is a high growth market leader that has dramatically expanded available client solutions that meet critical education challenges and is ideally suited for district-wide initiatives. Qualifications include:
  • Bachelors degree required
  • Intelligent Software/Technology sales performer with successful education or related marketplace experience
  • 7+ years experience in a sales role, years as a front-runner, groundbreaker and overall sales leader a plus. Demonstrated success with technology or services in K12 education desired.
  • Strategic Plan Builder and Implementer; able to communicate about vision and opportunity as well as match specific customer requirements to those visions, delivering on the promise of the vision
  • Experience creating and developing senior level relationships at school districts and state education agencies
  • Consultative solutions selling professional – able to craft and communicate a complex value proposition aligned with the clients (school district) strategic vision
  • Experience with CRM tools – preferably Salesforce.com.
  • Work in a highly distributed team environment to effectively deliver sales and customer satisfaction
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to present product benefits in a clear and enthusiastic manner
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and WebEx (or similar product)
  • Regional travel within territory required
  • Ability to manage to change and multi-task
  • Experience uncovering and evaluating strategic new opportunities
  • Excellent communications and presentation skills required
  • Proven track record of success with several years meeting and exceeding your quotas
  • Credibility with senior education leaders
  • Competitive selling skills
  • Computer and business savvy
