Empower your middle and high school students to learn more about themselves. Link personality type and interests with both career clusters and individual careers. Help students understand the academic preparation required to ensure workplace readiness.

Career Planner is available in separate versions for middle schools and high schools. At the middle school level, Career Planner uses The Career Key assessment. Tailored specifically for students in grades 6 through 8, The Career Key helps younger students become more self-aware. For high school students, we've integrated the Do What You Are personality assessment directly into Career Planner.

Here are a few of the key features you’ll find in Career Planner:

  • Help students explore hundred of careers using validated assessments for personality type and interests
  • Demonstrate connections for students between their course work and career interests
  • Provide more context for learning with videos about popular careers
  • Read about skills, requirements, and wages for nearly 1,000 careers
  • Find up-to-date wage data at the national, state, and city levels
  • Link directly from career descriptions to colleges offering related majors
  • Complete the Career Interest Profiler, based on Holland's interest codes
  • Generate reports to understand trends and patterns in career and career cluster interests

More than 300 of the career videos are also included in Spanish, which can be especially helpful in schools serving large populations of English Language Learners.

So many times students and families want at least some idea about careers and college majors. Career Planner is a wonderful tool that helps provide those answers.
