A recent study by Harvard University Ph.D. student, Christine Mulhern, examines how using Naviance scattergrams affects where students apply to and attend college. Findings of the study include the influence of Naviance scattergrams especially on the decision of Hispanic, African American, and low-income students to attend a 4-year college. Four K-12 schools and districts and six higher education institutions were selected for their impressive work in the field of student success.
Since integrating career pathways into the academic lives of students at District 214, the district more than tripled the number of students who earned dual credit in a career pathway course improving from 12% in 2013 to 40% for the class of 2018.
