Changing College Choices with Personalized Information at Scale: Evidence on Naviance


Choosing whether and where to apply to college is a complex and important choice facing students and families each year. 

A recent study by Harvard University Ph.D. student, Christine Mulhern, examines how using Naviance scattergrams affects where students apply to and attend college. Findings of the study include the influence of Naviance scattergrams especially on the decision of Hispanic, African American, and low-income students to attend a 4-year college.
